Ann Arbor’s Wolverine State Brewery on West Stadium Boulevard was “the” place to be in late October for the First Annual Chili Cook-Off. Hosted by the Ann Arbor Area Board of Realtors, the event was sponsored by Fletcher Inspections, Inc. and Liberty Title. A panel of judges, including several brokers, had to sample ten different chili entries – that must have been tough work!

A hearty congratulations goes to Realtor Tina Smalley for getting her mother, Diane, to cook the prize-winning chili with her aunt, Kathryn Fitzhugh, as sous chef. Big Mama’s recipe not only won First Place from the judges panel, it also won the People’s Choice award voted by the entire crowd. Wow! The chili, a beef and bean style, was served along with jalapeno corn bread muffins. Who could beat that?

Ann Arbor RE/MAX Platinum is proud of Tina, her mom and aunt after such a fun and tasty event. Thanks to all the participants who entered the Cook-Off and better luck next year!
