Thursday, Aug. 26, is a big day for RE/MAX Platinum.

From 4-7pm that day, we will celebrate the grand opening of the newly expanded RE/MAX Platinum’s Ann Arbor office at 325 W. Eisenhower Parkway, just outside the Briarwood Mall.

This new office is vitally important to RE/MAX Platinum. Moving into the Ann Arbor market wasn’t a decision we made lightly; in fact, we tested the waters for a year with a smaller office before we decided that this is exactly where we need to be.

I believe in Ann Arbor and the direction in which it is going, and I want to be part of the community. Now that we’ve decided this is where we need to be, we’ve made a major commitment.

This office expansion is significant. We went from an office of appx. 4,000 square feet to one that is two-and-a-half times that size, with room for up to 100 agents. We’ve created a new home here, one that we are sure will grow and prosper and become a vital part of the Ann Arbor community.

I am inspired by and proud of what Ann Arbor’s accomplished, and we hope to be a part of Ann Arbor’s future. We’ve invested a lot of time and money in the new office, and we look forward to being part of the enthusiastic and positive life here.

In addition to wanting to be part of all the great things happening in Ann Arbor, I also believe there is a huge connection between Ann Arbor and Livingston County. The two communities are moving toward each other: Livingston County to the south and Ann Arbor to the north.
I would like to see Livingston County, where I’ve built my business, become a true suburb of Ann Arbor. I look forward to watching the two communities grow.

The U.S. 23/I-96 corridor, which connects the two communities, is the next big thing in Michigan, a lot like I-275 and I-96 in Livonia and U.S. 23 and I-94 in Ann Arbor. The area is ripe for growth of all kinds, including housing, jobs and transportation.

Just think how the Ann Arbor/Livingston County area will boom if high-speed rail through Oakland, Wayne, Washtenaw and Livingston counties ever becomes reality.

Ann Arbor has diversity both in terms of population and jobs.
The potential to be a positive and significant source of solutions for Michigan is huge, and I truly desire to be part of this, which is why I am managing this office personally.

This is also why I’ve invested what I have in Ann Arbor. It’s leading the state with its positive, “Yes, we can,” attitude, which will continue to grow. I want to look at my grandkids one day and say that I was part of this.

The reception we’ve received from the community has been wonderful. Everyone’s been so open-armed here. One of the reasons we’ve invited the real estate community to Thursday’s open house is to meet them and let them know how glad we are to be here. We don’t want them to think of us as competition, but rather as a member of the community.

We look forward to sharing and helping and becoming part of the positive energy of Ann Arbor. We are truly honored to be part of this community.

If you’re unable to attend our open house, please feel free to stop by the new office sometime!
